Helping people navigate one of life’s most meaningful transitions - buying or selling a home - is a privilege. I’m grateful to do this work in such a beautiful place and I approach every client and property with care, communication and thoughtful strategy. My goal is to make the process feel well-informed, to reduce the typical stressors and to bring as much creativity, ease and joy into the experience as possible.

Before real estate, I spent two decades working as a documentary film and television producer, researcher and writer, in film, legal, and investigative environments. Managing complex projects, listening deeply, uncovering essential details and advocating with persistence and clarity, shaped the skills I rely on every day in real estate.

My passion for homes and design grew naturally. I come from a family of architects, builders and engineers. After building a home from the ground up and later restoring and rebuilding homes with my contractor/designer-builder partner, I discovered a love for the intersection of architecture, storytelling, advocacy and the way people live in and experience space.

I’m also proud to work alongside my mother, Norah, whose integrity and commitment to her clients have deeply influenced me. Her 30+ years of experience in the field have given me invaluable insight. Together, we represent buyers and sellers throughout the East Bay, integrating our skill sets.
My pure pleasure comes from long hikes with my dog and friends, exploring culinary and wine delights, spending time with loved ones, reading, watching and discussing the important stories of our time.
I love this community, where I grew up and have raised my own family. I stay involved with local organizations focused on public education, housing, and animal welfare - causes that reflect my values and the place I call home. I’d be honored to help guide you toward yours.
Since becoming a realtor in 1995, I’ve consistently been a leader in the Berkeley market, where I’ve lived for more than three decades. I specialize in residential properties throughout Berkeley, Oakland and neighboring communities and have built lasting relationships based on trust, strong communication and results.
As a CRS designee (Council of Residential Specialists), I’m part of a group representing the top 4% of Realtors nationwide. I’m also a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), helping seniors navigate the unique real estate decisions that come with later stages of life. In addition, I earned my GREEN Designation through the National Association of Realtors, allowing me to better guide clients seeking more sustainable homes and practices.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Cape Town and my graduate degree and teaching credential at San Francisco State University in special education. After working as a teacher for deaf students, I later founded an award-winning textile company producing silk fabrics for the interiors industry. Several of my designs were selected for the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. My background in education, design and business continues to shape the way I work with clients, combining creativity, attention to detail and a deep understanding of people’s needs.
Working with Daniella has been since 2019, has been an unexpected gift in my real estate journey and the additional support has benefited both my clients and me. Our different skill sets provide a symbiotic balance and our shared love of people and architecture, allows us to find the perfect homes for our buyers and ensures a smooth transition for our sellers.
Beyond real estate, I’m deeply connected to the East Bay community where I’ve lived, raised my child and grandchildren. I’ve played a leading role in the Council on Architecture at the Oakland Museum of California, promoting a greater appreciation of architecture through exhibitions, lectures, and tours. My love of animals keeps me involved with various rescue organizations, and my dog Lucy keeps me company while I enjoy my north Berkeley neighbors and our stunning regional parks.
From design details to negotiating contracts, I thoroughly enjoy the multi-faceted process of buying or selling a home.
